Pathway II · Doctor to Patient

Bringing specialist expertise closer to patients.

Where travel abroad is not the right option, specialist teams may travel to the patient's country and deliver care through a licensed local hospital — subject to medical, regulatory and facility approval.

A different pathway

Not every patient can, or should, travel internationally. Visiting specialist programs let qualified doctors deliver selected care through hospitals in emerging healthcare markets — with all clinical governance held by the local licensed facility.

Every program is conditional

Programs proceed only where local medical licensing, hospital credentialing, clinical privileges, professional indemnity, regulatory approval and post-operative capacity are all in place. No program bypasses local governance.

How a visiting program is developed

  1. 01

    Remote patient screening

Structured, secure review of available medical information to determine clinical suitability.

  2. 02

    Local hospital assessment

Facility readiness, equipment, anaesthesia support, ICU capability and post-operative care assessed against clinical requirements.

  3. 03

    Doctor credentialing

Visiting specialist credentials verified and submitted for hospital credentialing and clinical privileges.

  4. 04

    Regulatory coordination

Local licensing authority approvals, medical council notifications and professional indemnity confirmation.

  5. 05

    Scheduled consultations

Structured clinic days within the licensed hospital, coordinated with local teams.

  6. 06

    Selected procedures

Procedures performed only where approved locally, with the required equipment, team, and post-operative care in place.

  7. 07

    Local follow-up care

Continuous follow-up handled by the partner hospital's local clinicians, coordinated with the visiting specialist.

  8. 08

    Remote post-visit review

Structured follow-up between the local team, visiting specialist and coordination team.
